Freyja Beiersdorf Salazar

Freyja was born and raised in Mexico and later moved to Germany. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Bremen in 2024. In the summer of 2025, she began her Master of Science in Chemistry at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.
Kevin Chinchilla Mora
Doctoral Student
Kevin was born in Costa Rica. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Costa Rica in 2023. He completed his Master’s degree in Synthesis, Catalysis, and Molecular Design at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and the Institut Català d’Investigació Química (ICIQ) in Tarragona, Spain, in 2025.
Niklas Paulsen
Master Student
Niklas was born in Heide, Germany. In 2023, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Kiel University, where he worked on photoswitchable glycolipid mimetics in the field of carbohydrate chemistry. He continued his academic path with the Master’s program in 2024.
